Every plant must grow

There once was a seed.
O, dare she be
a flower?
She could only dream of being as elegant as thee.

There once was a seed.
Merely there, hidden between
all the others in the sea of green.
Nowhere to be seen.

There once was a seed,
who fought the sun and the rain to be.
Something she thought never to achieve.

There once a seed who once spoke to the sun.
And here wise words and soft touch sung:
Every plant must grow.

There once was a seed,
who begun to grow.
And as life came, her blossoms followed.

There once was a seed,
now in front of thee.
Who became her dream.

This seed, now a flower.
Not perfect, nor polished.
Will always remain a seed.
Because as though know,
every plant must grow.
So when is one outgrown?
